What is CosmWasm?

CosmWasm is a Cosmos-native cross-chain smart contract engine based on Wasm, designed from the ground up with a security-first mentality.

Over 60% of IBC-integrated blockchains and over 30 L1 blockchains are using it, and the adoption is accelerating at lightspeed.

It is the only smart contract platform for public blockchains with meaningful, speedy adoption outside the EVM world.

$6k (1st), $4k (2nd), $2.5k (3rd) for each of its 2 tracks

Judging Criteria:

Kujira

Judging for Kujira‘s tracks will be broadly “Does this make someone‘s life easier when they‘re using the Kujira blockchain and its dapps?“.

We‘re not expecting a polished codebase, abstractions, full test coverage, comprehensive readme‘s, etc. This is just a hackathon, after all.

We‘re looking for the raw beginnings of a product that makes people‘s lives easier. The judges will assess this based on their own experience, but collecting and presenting real-world feedback will make this much, much easier.

We encourage participants to engage with the Kujira Community on X, in our Telegram group and/or in our Discord server. The community is incredibly welcoming and always very eager to try new products, however rough around the edges they are.

Neutron

Topicality:

Projects must be built using CosmWasm and actively incorporate interchain features, such as interchain accounts and/or interchain queries, to qualify for prize consideration.

Execution:

A well-organized GitHub repository is crucial, featuring a comprehensive readme that outlines the project‘s purpose, design, and solution. Additionally, instructions for building and testing the project must be provided, ensuring the project is functional. A screen recording demonstrating the project in action is also required, serving as essential demo material.

Complexity:

Given two projects with good execution, projects that exhibit a higher level of sophistication and complexity will be given preference, assuming the execution criteria are met.
